The story of N.A.P.
Artist & Writer

Once upon a time, in the small distant eastern-European land of Bulgaria lived a young damsel with a big heart, big dreams and an even bigger drive to fulfil them. Her imagination was fed weekly with Ghibli movies, her mind was constantly inspired and her hands were always writing, drawing or… trying to sell weird DIY items or lemonade she made to random city and country folk.

When she figured out how people thought she was really creative and good at writing, they let her participate in a few creative writing and art contests here and there, her mum, who worked in the newspaper at the time, helped publicize it all when she had a new achievement in the sphere of art and ballet.

When little Nadi grew a bit older, she decided to keep writing her books, show them to her loved ones and a little birdie told her to publish them on Wattpad for instance. That’s how she has ended up being there for decades to this day like some old ancient hag in a dusty library.

However, our girl wasn’t that old yet, in fact she was in her rebellious teen years and she wanted to separate herself from her writing and do not let anyone like her not-so-understanding classmates or parents ever find she wrote online since her books were sacred to her. And there it was – Rachel Archer, the great, the wonderful! The solution. A simple writing pseudonym, her own writing persona!

Now that made things much more exciting! She would proudly tell those who she deemed worthy the origin of her pen name was simply a mix of her all-time favourite DC characters – Rachel Roth (Raven) and Artemis Crock (an archer).

But what about the art? What about illustrating and animation you ask?

Well, here is the thing – at first she actually aimed to become a fashion designer, she thought. And the way to that is to learn French, learn how to draw and go get a degree in fashion design, she foolishly thought. But she did start, she enrolled herself as an art student in high school and from then on… Things changed, slowly but steadily…
