'Persephony in the forest' - lake in the forest?, a study made on canvas ...x.. with acrylics. The original is a digital work of another artist.

'Rosa Bonneur' - This is my finished painting inspired by the biography of Rosa Bonneur (1822-1899) who was a French painter, feminist and animalist, recipient of the Legion of Honor. I have depicted Rosa demonstrating her rebellious behavior and revolutionary thinking by walking freely around the city on a working day with her neck-length hair dressed in men's clothes, for which she had sought special permission from the municipality, with the excuse that women would not allow her to moves around a lot and thus prevents her from doing her job. Also she smokes in public which is another rule she ignores. In fact, the very fact that she was an artist by profession and was a woman was considered a violation, because the academies did not admit women at the time. Rosa became one of the most famous artists of her time, and this is due in part to her father, who trained her, and to the family environment in which she grew up.

'In the mountains' -  is an artwork based on a scene from Studio Ghibli's film 'Howl's Moving Castle'. It was created for a Bulgarian art contest where it won 1st place.   'Hotel Royal' - a watercolour (35x50 cm) painting of the beautiful old but upkept building of the hotel in Varna.  ....text from email about the hotel... won 1st place and was sold to the hotel owner.

'Napoleon crossing the Alps' - One of his most significant victories due to another clever military strategy Napoleon came up with. In 1800, he fooled armies, crossing the Alps with his troops, in order to attack soldiers in Genoa by surprise. An ambitious, determined, competent warrior and governor who eventually became too selfish and let his greed and ego take the best of him. Extremely lucky and smart, but not too bright on the social scene, especially when it came to women, their rights and perhaps religion, for example. Originally being born on the island of Corsica, Bonaparte is also the kind of person who refuses to give up until the end.

The original painting was done by Jacques-Louis David. Of course, in reality, Napoleon crossed the steep mountain route riding not a horse, but a donkey which was much more suitable for the area. Thus another picture of him riding on a donkey’s back in the cold peaks of the Alps exists.
